sassafras espresso cup and saucer. both the cup and saucer were turned on lathe. the exterior edge of the handle was cut on a band saw. the handle's circular interior edge was cut using a drill press. the handle was then filed and sanded by hand. using a handsaw, i then removed a strip of material from the cup and attached the handle with epoxy.

this vessel is made from scrap wood: spruce, maple, and poplar. i cut the scrap pieces down to 5" L x 3/4" W x 1/2" H. i then sanded them and glued them together in sections until i got a block that was 5" x 6" x 10". the block resembled a "jenga" set, if it had been glued together. i then put this block on the lathe and turned the exterior edge. then, i cut that mass in half and turned the inside. i then glued these two halves together and sanded the outside.
I designed and fabricated this memorial bench as a part of my industrial design furniture final. Both of the lengthwise sides form a "G". The two "Gs" serve as the foundation of my design and are the initials of my late teacher George Gatta.

Quick toy design idea. Rollerblades for children that allow you to wear your own shoes while using them. Covers multiple sizes rather than one. Stability depends on the shoes rather than the rollerblades.
digital rendering practice
My render is on the left, the reference photo is on the right. Four hour, one-day render. Practicing attention to detail in multi-faceted products. Started with a drawing and then added color, all in Autodesk Sketchbook.
brand focus communication design
Assignment was to design a communications device for three brands (other two still in progress) that don't have an existing communications device. Initial rendering without color. Below is revised and colored render.
Refine one of the 3 food carrier concepts (original 3 sketches are posted earlier on my site). Clean up the sketches and make a colored render.
